In honor of tonight’s HCA Astra awards, a flashback to the 2024 event, the first time I dragged my mom to an awards show and she outshone all of us, the first time I finally got to sit with La Chenoweth Kristin Chenoweth and gush about how much I adore her and we both gushed about how much we adore our boy Damien Bassman, the first time we also sat with Yankovic before we got to play with him again at SLAP Studios LA thanks to the beautiful Whitney Avalon, the first time I was honored to be nominated for an Astra for Ms. Marvel, and not the first nor the last time we will be holding puppies on the red carpet thanks to Petco Love. Thanks to The Astra Awards for these and so many more unforgettable memories of sharing in the celebration of storytelling in so many forms. Can’t wait to celebrate an extraordinary year of beautiful stories brought to life again tonight (and yes, hold some more puppies).
