Member of the cast and team of Miss India America at Cinequest 2015

One of my favorite projects in recent years – Miss India America – finally had its world premiere this last weekend at Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose. Couldn’t be prouder of this movie and everyone who is involved in it, from the creators, Ravi Kapoor and Meera Simhan, to the lead producers, Megha Kadakia and Saurabh Kikani (two power couples in ever way!) to all of the investors and crew and cast (led by Tiya Sircar, Kosha Patel, and Hannah Simone).

The movie was a joy from day one…even at the reading before they went into production I knew Meera and Ravi had created something special, a female driven comedy for all ages with loads of heart, and it was just a wonderful ride from then on. The crowd at the California Theatre in San Jose received us with open arms and loads of laughs, and it was just a magical evening. Such a wonderful way to bring this baby into the world…looking forward to the next time and place we get to share it (which will be soon…stay tuned!)
